| First, Welcome to the Battle Stratagy board. I notice how some people want to know how others do their folders. This forum is NOT for Gameplay help! It is only for discussion about competitive battles (Player vs. Player, etc). If you are looking for Gameplay help, please check out the MEGAMAN STARFORCE GENERAL forum instead. 1.) Don't SPAM - This is a standard rule for every board on the forums. Don't post any nonsensical and pointless topics in here please. Just try to avoid posting:
Silly/Short: This basically means, don't post anything nonsensical or a 1 word response basically. Pointless: Always have a purpose for your topic/post. Annoying: Don't post anything that will really hurt your eyes, such as a smiley-fest with 100+ smileys, . Messages
2.) Give Constructive Criticism - I'm going to really have to stress this. Since this is a battling board, there will most likely be many topics that ask people to rate their battle cards or folders or thier personal strategies. Don't make them feel too bad by pointing out the most obvious mistakes (if they have any), try to give the good things and the bad things they did.
3.) No Posting of Warez/Innapropriate Images/Illegal Activities - If I see this, I'm going to ban immediately. Just don't do this, you'll be banned, trust me. Keep in mind, people as young as 10 browse these forums, we wouldn't want to taint their mind, would we.
4.) Reviving Topics - The most controversial subject of them all. Do not revive dead topics unless you have anything incredibly fascinating or groundbaking to add to it. Even then, try not to bump topics or anything of the sort, it can be really annoying.
5.) Read Before Writing - I also want to stress this, if there is a topic that contains the information you wan't to post, please don't make a new one. It can really clutter up the board. Another thing included is that don't post topics asking questions already answered in the stickies. That's why the stickies are there, .
6.) Give Sensible Advice. Going along with the rule about constructive criticism, we want the advice to be useful and well-presented. Here's a quick list of what you absolutely should not do:
-Post a comment such as "This folder/battle card is uncreative." That doesn't help the poster at all. People can be creative if they want, but team effectiveness is the essence of competitive battling. Don't force creativity on others and respect them, like the forum rules say. Ekul Yenaved said it best, "Creativity is a virtue, but team synergy is mandatory." Likewise, take constructive advice when it's given. Don't flame someone if they identify problems and offer methods to fix them. Don't flame in general.
-Post a comment such as "These battle cards are week." or "This folder sucks." Offer advice for how the folder can improve.
-Post a comment along the lines of "This card can counter that one, or try using this method." Well, of course, if my Wide sword counter fails, I'll be open. That's why counters exist.
7.) Formatting - Please, I stress this a lot. When posting a "Rate My Folder" topic, please put your folder into the following format:
Folder Name Battle Cards and their effectsAny Combos? If so, what cards are used? Lets try and follow these simple rules, thanks. |
